Over the years we’ve seen how Pilates helps recover strength and mobility after hip replacement surgery. Our experienced teaching team has been able to transfer the healing properties of the studio equipment to our clients’ at-home workouts during the pandemic. Our client Kathy and her teacher Fanina have some inspiring words to share!
From Fanina:
“I LOVE working with Kathy. She has been a longtime client at reFORM Pilates. I believe she has been coming to the studio since even before Kelli, Matt and Teresa became owners. So, 12 plus years? That’s a testament to her spirit of motivated consistency and commitment to her health and well being. I have worked with her through a hip replacement and other injuries and she is always willing to do the work to find the ways her body responds and moves, to best come out the other side. In pre-COVID times, we definitely used the equipment in much of our sessions, so when we moved online I was so happy that her body responded really well to using small props and weaving in a little yoga and weight training. I hope to eventually see her in the studio in person again but I love that I get to see her now twice a week online and still keep her moving and growing stronger.”
From Kathy:
“I feel safest working one on one with an instructor, so I was reluctant to try Pilates online. But I am so pleased I did! During this pandemic lockdown I was spending too much time indoors, on the computer and began to have knee, hip, and leg pain. Being able to continue my regular classes with Fanina has been a life saver for me. Nina makes use of the equipment I have at home (hand weights, foam roller, triad ball, bands) and varies the exercises each week. She is able to see my body mechanics well via ZOOM and guide me to better form and movement. I feel I am able to get a good workout even without access to the Reformer or Cadillac equipment. Plus, I would be remiss not to mention what a morale boost it is to see Nina’s smile in my home every week!. I am ready to move on to two in-home sessions a week. Try it – you’ll be happy you did.”
Thanks Kathy!
