Our very own Fanina Padykula is not only a gifted Pilates instructor, but she’s also a very talented bellydancer!

Fanina is one-third of the fantastic Raqs Ayana bellydancing trio. Raqs Ayana, or “Dance of the Flowers”, combines the solo styles of Fanina, Henna, and Emilie Lauren into a captivating, fluid technique that pulls from tradition while remaining fresh and relevant. They often perform at private functions and community events alongside their live band, RiTiM EGZOTiK.

Fanina will be dancing this Saturday at From the Hip: The Art of Bellydancing, at the Star Theater on NW 6th Ave. in Portland. This event will feature Raqs Ayana, as well as such other professional-grade performers as Moria Chappell, Tiare Tashnick NagaSita, and more. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the venue or at the Star Theater website.
