Marissa is a lifelong dancer. She discovered Gyrotonic (after trying most everything else) during rehabilitation from a dance related hip surgery in 2012 while living in NYC. Not only did Gyrotonic allow her to return to what she loved to do, in it she finds the same sort of poetry and communion between self, energy, time and space that is found in dance. She’s excited to have recently added Classical Pilates to her toolkit. She is a bit of an anatomy nerd and delights in unlocking the puzzles within any body.
