Classical Pilates is systematic and disciplined. Most of us know Pilates as a mat class which entails a series of exercises done on the floor. But Pilates is much more than floor work.
In a typical session, depending on your goals and physical fitness level upon starting, you will experience Pilates on various pieces of equipment. You may spend 20-30 minutes on the Reformer working through a sequential order of exercises, selected exercises on the High or Low Chair, a flow of exercises on the Cadillac, and yes-some mat work.
» Introductory Package: first 5 privates for $200
reFORM has always included mat classes as part of any Pilates equipment session package in an effort to support your Pilates practice. Joseph Pilates designed the Pilates mat work as a way to support the equipment based work. The mat and apparatus work are intertwined and inseparable.
Our hope is to give each student the necessary tools to bring Pilates into every day life. Improved posture, strengthened core, and and lengthened muscles will be your constant companion as you float through your day.
reFORM offers 4 mat classes weekly. By attending at least 1 weekly equipment session, each student is entitled to attend as many mat classes within that same week based upon a Monday-Sunday calendar week.
